(About 5 to 6 inches will fit a Samsung Galaxy.)

Bind off until you have 5 stitches left on needles.

Sew up seams to form sock. Sew that one end of the little strap down to form a loop. Weave in ends.

PHONESOCK1

Want to make your own sakura scarf? Here’s how…

You’ll need:
1 skein brown yarn (any material of your choice)
scraps of pink & white yarn
H crochet hook
yarn needle

Gauge does not matter.

With the brown yarn, chain 10. Leave a long enough tail to do decrease stitches later. Then slip stitch in first chain to form foundation of tube, chain 2 and dc each stitch all around.

Continue until tube reaches 48-60 inches. Now decrease double crochet, dc 1. Repeat until 1 stitch remains and bind off.

With the other end of the tube, do decrease double crochet, dc 1 with the tail. Repeat until 1 stitch remains and bind off. You now have a tree branch!

Now make some twigs!
Chain 8, slip stitch in first chain, chain 2 and dc each stitch until desired length is reached anywhere from 4-8 inches. Decrease double crochet, dc 1. Repeat until 1 stitch remains and bind off. Leave the other end alone; you’ll be attaching that end to the main branch.

Make 2 more twigs, any length is up to you.

Sew on the twigs onto the main tube so it resembles a cherry tree branch.

The branch need flowers. Go to this site and follow the pattern instructions: http://nekosknitting.blogspot.com/2011/03/sakura.html
(Someone else came up with this flower pattern, not me.)
Make as many flowers as you like.

Sew the flowers on to the branch. Weave in ends.

2 Prong Jester Hat

2 Prong Jester Hat

Materials:
#8 needles
2 skeins of worsted weight or sport weight yarn, (any color of your choice)
Yarn needle

Row counter to save your sanity for steps 3-7
(number key indicates which row you’re working on):
00 = increase stitches row
01 = knit 1st row
02 = knit 2nd row
03 = knit 3rd row
04 = knit 4th row
05 = knit 5th row

Gauge: 4 stitches / 4 rows per inch in garter stitch? (still trying to work that one out)

1) Cast on 2 stitches

2) Knit 1 row

3) Increase 1 stitch at each end. You should have 4 stitches on the needle.

4) Knit 5 rows.

5) Increase 1 stitch, knit all stitches in between, increase 1 stitch on last one

6) Knit 5 rows. (At this point, you should have an even number of stitches on the needle)

7) Repeat Steps 5 and 6 until 32 stitches are on the needle. (You may increase to 34 or more stitches to fit a bigger head.)

8) Knit for another 45 rows (or less if you want to go for a shorter length, or add more rows if you want a longer prong.)

9) Knit 1, purl 1 for the next 65 rows (or less rows if you want a shorter length. You can add more if  you want to go longer.)

10) Bind off loosely

11) Repeat Steps 1-10 to make the second piece.

Your 2 pieces should look like this:
1/2 of hat
The ribbed and garter rows shows you where the skull area ends and the prong begins.

12) Now you’re ready to sew the pieces together. Take the 2 pieces and attach them together by sewing along the ribbed rows, then stop when you reach the garter rows. (I sewed the garter area 10 rows in before splitting into a fork because I want a bit more skull room.) Then sew along the individual prongs to seal them up. Weave in ends.
