I caught the 5PM Glockenspiel show here in Marienplatz in Munich.

Here is the observation terrace where people can take pictures of the mountain scenery at Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest in Berchtesgaden, Germany.

On the day I was there, it was raining, foggy, and very, very cold. There are supposed to be trees, mountains, and other views in this shot, but this is how much the fog would allow me to see.

2 Prong Jester Hat

Materials:
#8 needles
2 skeins of worsted weight or sport weight yarn, (any color of your choice)
Yarn needle

Row counter to save your sanity for steps 3-7
(number key indicates which row you’re working on):
00 = increase stitches row
01 = knit 1st row
02 = knit 2nd row
03 = knit 3rd row
04 = knit 4th row
05 = knit 5th row

Gauge: 4 stitches / 4 rows per inch in garter stitch? (still trying to work that one out)

1) Cast on 2 stitches

2) Knit 1 row

3) Increase 1 stitch at each end. You should have 4 stitches on the needle.

4) Knit 5 rows.

5) Increase 1 stitch, knit all stitches in between, increase 1 stitch on last one

6) Knit 5 rows. (At this point, you should have an even number of stitches on the needle)

7) Repeat Steps 5 and 6 until 32 stitches are on the needle. (You may increase to 34 or more stitches to fit a bigger head.)

8) Knit for another 45 rows (or less if you want to go for a shorter length, or add more rows if you want a longer prong.)

9) Knit 1, purl 1 for the next 65 rows (or less rows if you want a shorter length. You can add more if  you want to go longer.)

10) Bind off loosely

11) Repeat Steps 1-10 to make the second piece.

Your 2 pieces should look like this:
1/2 of hat
The ribbed and garter rows shows you where the skull area ends and the prong begins.

12) Now you’re ready to sew the pieces together. Take the 2 pieces and attach them together by sewing along the ribbed rows, then stop when you reach the garter rows. (I sewed the garter area 10 rows in before splitting into a fork because I want a bit more skull room.) Then sew along the individual prongs to seal them up. Weave in ends.

old ticket stub

panteraskidrow

Who: Skid Row with Pantera as support act.
What: Awesome concert I went to with 3 other friends instead of the high school prom & getting subjected to shitty pop music.
When: 4/22/92
Where: Madison Square Garden in NYC

I spent the whole day today cleaning my apartment and came across this old stub tucked away in an old wallet. It suffered some liquid damage when a soft drink bottle leaked all over the contents of my bag. That accident was sometime in autumn of 1992. It made me mad that happened and on that day I learned to keep cherished mementos in a safer place.
